Bioethics Conference

The Anscombe Bioethics Centre, in association with the Consultative Group on Bioethics of the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference, is holding a day conference examining the ethical, legal, social and psychological issues raised by abortion or childbirth following a diagnosis of foetal anomaly.

The conference will take place on Friday, 20 October, 2017, from 9.30am – 5pm, at the Sheraton Hotel in Athlone, Ireland. The cost of registration is €30, including lunch and tea/coffee. Speakers at this conference include Kevin Doran, Bishop of Elphin and Chair of the Irish Bishops’ Consultative Group on Bioethics, the Irish psychiatrist Prof Patricia Casey and Professor of Law at Trinity College Dublin Gerry Whyte.
