All priests in parish ministry and two lay representatives from each parish / church area have been invited by Bishop Jones to participate  in the Elphin diocese's second Catechetical Conference on the recently published Share the Good News:  National Directory for Catechesis in Ireland.  

The guest presenters will be Bishop Martin Drennan (Galway) and Andy McGrady, Director, Mater Dei Institute of Education, Dublin.  

This Conference will take place on Monday October 17th from 11 am to 4 pm in The Abbey Hotel, Roscommon.

The programme for the day is as follows:

2.25 pm: Engaging with Share the Good News with special regard to parish    Dr. Andy McGrady       Director, Mater Dei Institute, Dublin.

 Dr. McGrady is likely to draw from the following sections of the Directory: (i) Witnessing to the Power of the Gospel pp 34 – 37 (ii) Adult Faith Development  pp 101 - 130 (iii) The Parish Community as Agent of Faith Development  pp 190 - 196
