Last June Msgr. Jim Cassin, Executive Secretary of the Council for Education of the Irish Episcopal Conference addressed Primary School Principals of the Elphin diocese in Sligo and Roscommon. His presentation was a response to a report arising from Bishop Jones' Consultation with primary school principals and teachers in 2010 and included an illumination of the key principles underlining the Catholic vision of education and comment on the current debate concerning the future of Catholic schools.

As Msgr.
