Revisiting the Permanent Diaconate

This first of the two CDs in this set contains Tony's presentation on theological underpinnings of the permanent diaconate, comment on the ministry of the permanent deacon today and reference to considerations vis-à-vis the selection and formation of permanent deacons and the preparation of parishes for permanent deacons.

In the second Morag reflects on the impact of her husband John's formation and ministry as a permanent deacon on their marriage, family and community life. This CD also contains a presentation from Fr. Michael Duignan (the Elphin Diocese's Director of the Permanent Diaconate) on the Elphin Diocese's recruitment, selection and formation of permanent deacons.

These presentations were recorded at a Conference on the Permanent Diaconate for Clergy of the Elphin and Ardagh & Clonmacnois dioceses.
