Opportunity:  Turning Our Hearts to the Lord Advent Scripture-based Prayer Initiative

Brief Description:  Small groups meet to pray Evening Prayer of the Church together and to reflect on the Gospel passages of the Sundays of Advent.

Time Commitment:  c. 40 minutes per week for four weeks.

Where?:  Running in most parishes of the Elphin Diocese for the four weeks of Advent.

Opportunity:  Training Course for Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

Brief Description: Four sessions exploring this sacred ministry in the context of the Eucharist and the Christian call to bear witness to Christ.

Time Commitment:  8 hours (training)

Where?:  St. Anne's Day Chapel, Sligo.

Opportunity:  2nd Study Day on the Eucharist

Presenter:  Fr. Michael Drumm

Brief Description:  A day for clergy and catechists who will be presenting and facilitating the second series of presentations on the Eucharist as part of the Elphin diocese's catechesis on the Eucharist in May 2012 as part of the diocese's preparation for the International Eucharistic Congress.  Primary and Post-primary RE teachers also welcome. 

Time Commitment: 10 - 4.30 pm
