Cursillo

“MAKE A FRIEND, BE A FRIEND & BRING THAT FRIEND TO CHRIST”

Following on from a meeting  with Bishop Kevin Doran and with his blessing  the Irish Cursillo Movement invite you to an information meeting about  Cursillo on:

Monday 22nd October 2018, 8 – 9.15 pm in The Library, Summerhill College, Sligo,

or

Tuesday 23rd October 2018, 8 – 9.15 pm in Hannon’s Hotel, Galway Rd., Roscommon).

The Irish Cursillo Movement is  a  branch of a lay Catholic group founded in Majorca in the 1940s and introduced to  Ireland in the early 1960s.  More information about the movement can be accessed at www.cursillo.ie

There are members of Cursillo in the  Elphin Diocese. The purpose of this meeting is to encourage parishes to help renew/restart Cursillo in our diocese and the organisers would particularly welcome the participation of priests, deacons,  catechists, members of Parish Pastoral Councils and other Church groups.

It is a well-known fact, when a person experiences a Cursillo weekend they normally are enthused to become involved not only in the sacramental life of the Church but also as active participants in all aspects of Parish life.
