March 9th “From Hosannas to the Hill: A Lenten Retreat”, Led by Fr Vincent Sherlock. Cost EUR30 (incl. light lunch). Booking essential. On Palm Sunday they roared “Hosanna!” and on Good Friday “Crucify him”. Sometimes it can be difficult to find our voice in the crowd and today we might look at this, reflecting on some of the characters of the Easter Days and the story that takes us there. We will examine our voice through Scripture Passages, songs and stories. We will hopefully recognise the value of our voice and its central place in the crowd – “For where two or three gather in my name, I am in their midst” (Matthew 18:20).

This year’s Trócaire Lenten campaign focuses on land rights and specifically the stories of Patricia, Maya and Maria who all feature on this year’s Trócaire box.
Patricia is an 8 year old from Uganda whose family’s land is being stolen from them, bit by bit. Maya is a 10 year old who is living in one of Lebanon’s refugee camps after her family fled from the Syrian war. Maria is a nine year old girl from Guatamala whose family’s land was violently stolen from them and their home burned down.
