Choir / Liturgical Music Workshops
2016/2017

The Elphin Diocese will host two liturgical music workshops for Parish Choirs, Church Musicians, School Choir Directors as follows:

Monday 7^th November (8 – 10 pm)
St. Anne’s Day Chapel, St. Anne’s Church, Cranmore Rd., Sligo.

Thursday 10^th November (8 – 10 pm)
School Hall, Convent of Mercy Primary School, Convent Rd., Roscommon.

The workshops with be presented by Fr. Turlough Baxter (Ardagh & Clonmacnois) and Mr. Derek Mahady.

Programme to include:
(i) Hymns for Advent and Christmas,
(ii) Music, songs etc. of the new Grow in Love Religious Education programme (Primary Schools),
(iii) New Mass setting (Mass of St. Mel)
(iv) Music featured at the 2016 Irish Church Music Association’s Summer School.

All welcome.

All related costs borne by the diocese / parishes.
